Didactic materials and publications

Metropolitan parks and beaches are areas of meeting and relationship, leisure and quietness, in a close and friendly nature.

Disseminating them, encouraging its respect and appreciation and boosting civic behaviours are key objectives of the AMB. To this aim, the institution is responsible for the following actions:
  • Publications: Reports about the characteristics and values of metropolitan parks and the most remarkable plant specimens living there. Publications are presented in different formats such as guides, datasheets of unique trees and shrubs, interactive CDs or botanical tours.
  • Teaching materials: Educational resources for schools aimed at exploring and learning about flora, fauna and environmental values of the parks. These resources can be used by downloading them from the web or through guided activities led by environmental educators within the Metropolitan Programme of Education for Sustainability.
