Description
The ERASMUS+ project SESAME (Soutenir l'Entrepreneuriat et les Savoir-faire en Agriculture Metropolitaine) is led by the French Institute IRFEDD (Institut Régional de Formation à l'Environnement et au Développement durable). It brings together representatives of metropolitan administrations, educational institutions and the private sector from France, Italy and Spain.
The main objective of the SESAME project is to foster agricultural projects in the metropolitan areas of member countries and promote entrepreneurship in the urban and peri-urban metropolitan agriculture sector. For this purpose, an specific educative module will be developed and integrated into vocational training programmes on agricultural facilities in each of the three participating countries. It will include the particularities about metropolitan agriculture entrepreneurship from an ecological, economic and social perspective. The project will also allow for good practices to be exchanged and for a sensitisation of all actors involved in the sector re-garding the importance of innovative metropolitan agricultural projects.
The AMB will participate in the elaboration of the educative modules as well as other activities, such as training workshops and international events with its partner institutions. It will also participate in the dissemination of the project and publications related to the topic.
The starting date for the project will be September 2019 and it is expected to last until December 2021.
