By fostering partnership among European metropolises, the EMA network serves as a space for connecting and exchanging knowledge and interests, which has resulted in the development of many joint projects. Altogether, these joint initiatives target common metropolitan challenges shared by EMA members.
Events and common projects
European Week of Regions and Cities: A regional partnership consortium formed by the metropolitan areas of Barcelona, Lyon, Turin and Brno aims at positioning on the future Cohesion Policy 2021-2027 and advocating for a major metropolitan dimension of European policies. During the event (on 12-15 October 2020), the consortium will present the ESPON METRO project study on the implementation of the cohesion policy and good practices and projects implemented by European Metropolitan Authorities (EMA) partners.
