On 3 June, a group of representatives from public transport authorities and companies from Russia, Brazil, Chile and Argentina visited the AMB's headquarters. Ramon Torra, AMB manager, and Joan Maria Bigas, the AMB's director of transportation services, presented the organisation's broad plans as the authority with competencies in this area.

The purpose of the meeting was to provide information about the AMB and its transport and mobility policy based on specific experiences and management model. The aim was to look at how AMB exercises its role of promoting collective mobility, with managing means of transport such as bus and underground rail services, and promoting alternative modes of transport such as bicycles and electric vehicles. Also taking part in the meeting were representatives from the TMB who gave a presentation on their areas of activity and the ZEUS European project on electric bus.

This visit was organised as part of the framework being developed by the AMB within the UITP (International Union of Public Transport), of which it is a member.
