A delegations from Lillestrom Akershus visits the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona

This morning we have received the visit of a delegation from the norwegian city of Lillestrom-Akershus to the site of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB), framed in the two-day travel this group of representatives is paying to the catalan capital. This Meeting is part of the relations that the AMB maintains with this european metropolis; her president, Mrs. Annette Solli, attended last March the Seminar EMA organized by the AMB.
After a welcome and an explanation of the Metropolitan institution, its competences and financing, the visitors meet the responsibles of the different services offered by the AMB, such as the mobility and públic transport policy, urban and territorial planning and the protection of the environament, both in the prevention and municipal waste treatment and the management of the integral water cycle.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited several places of the metropolitan territory where the AMB is carrying out some projects of transformation and improvement of the públic space.
For tomorrow Friday, it is scheduled that the delegation meets the Smart Cities strategy of the Barcelona City Council and the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona.
The Lillestrom delegation is composed, among others, by political representatives and membres of political groups from municipalities, corporate executives and research centers linked to universities.
