New OECD study from the collaboration with the AMB and over 45 cities around the world

Governança de l'aigua a les ciutats

Water management is a key issue in governing cities. For such reason the OECD recently published a new study entitled Water Governance in Cities, based on its experience in 48 cities, including the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB), both in OECD countries and emerging economies.

The study analyses the key factors in urban water governance and trends in the assignment of roles between the different levels of government. It also evaluates the shortages in multiple level governance of city water management, based on real experiences in the 48 pilot cities, which include Oslo, Paris, Mexico City, Copenhagen and New York.

AMB's collaboration in the study dates back to 2014, with the contribution of its experiences in supplying drinking and sanitary water to the metropolitan area and sharing with the rest of the participants.
