Description
Future Mob is a project leaded by the AMB consisting of monthly mobility challenges to promote sustainable and safe mobility in the context of COVID-19 and at the same time it aims to boost local businesses. The project will be operational through an existing app and website that will reward citizens and companies for working from home, using sustainable or public transport and buying at local magazines. The service is operational in Barcelona city and will be available in the metropolitan area, adding a real-time quality air information feature, which will allow a safe and healthy mobility within the current pandemic. The project will allow small companies to show their products in the app and in the website for free. Carbon and last mile delivery costs will also decrease. The project will last for 6 months until the 15th of December 2020.
The main goals of the project are: reducing crowds in public transport, stimulating sustainable mobility, fostering small local business and reducing the environmental impact issued from last-mile logistics.
