What can we do with one?... and with plenty?

| Subject: International Cooperation

Schools and universities have requested a term extension in order to develop their proposals.

The AMB Area for International Relations and Cooperation opens a social contest of ideas addressed to university or college alumni studying Industrial Design and Industrial Engineering, in order to find a solution to the over accumulation of life vests in the Lesbos coast.

Attention: the due date to submit proposals has been extended until 14th of September 2018.

These vests have saved thousands of refugees, but are now stacked in the beaches of Lesbos, causing a serious environmental contamination problem.

Creative and practical solutions are to be found to transform a life vest into an everyday object, in order to tackle the environmental sustainability problem and guarantee the rights of refugees.

University students from the departments of Industrial Design and Industrial Engineering have until the 9th of April to submit their creative proposals. The selected ideas will be implemented in the project and the winning proposal will be awarded with a trip to Lesbos to learn in situ the actions that are taking place.

This contest falls into the umbrella of a refugees' project that the AMB Area of International Relations and Cooperation is developing together with Lesvos Solidarity.
