Report on the activities and speakers' contributions at the 2018 Annual Conference
MedCities has launched two new publications that bring together the association's activities in 2018 and look ahead to member priorities for 2019.
The Activity Report details various projects, seminars and events held by the association during a year. Available in French and English, the 2018 edition is a resource for information about the efforts MedCities members are making to push sustainable development in the Mediterranean and to improve the lives of its citizens.
The publication presents a variety of types of activities carried out by MedCities: developing and implementing projects, sharing knowledge and best practices, constructing the capabilities of local authorities and representing these authorities in international debates and processes.
The second publication is a sampler of speaker contributions to the 2018 MedCities Annual Conference, which was organised by the Barcelona City Council on October 2018, entitled "Mediterranean cities: sustainable and equitable for all!".
The event brought together mayors from all around the Mediterranean and the publication gathers their reflections about a wide variety of subjects related to urban development, including: cooperation between cities, environmental sustainability and inequalities in economic development. It is available in Catalan, English and French.
