New alliance between the AMB, the TMB and the ACCD

| Subject: International Cooperation

The sum of synergies and common objectives in cooperation activities is one of the major challenges for this initiative

Cooperació
The aim of the agreement between the Generalitat of Catalonia's Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD), the AMB and TMB (Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona) is to establish a new environment for agreement and coordination which will identify the added value of each institution and agree joint activities for development, education for development and humanitarian action, as well any connections established under the master plans.

Of note among the areas of joint working planned under the agreement are strategies for communication, awareness-raising and making an impact in the area of development cooperation and development education; institutional coordination of cooperation actions in partner countries; the exchange of information on the context and actions in priority partner countries where the three institutions operate; and joint working and alliances for securing international financing.

Joint actions will be organised by drawing up plans of work by a Joint Committee made up of members from the three organisations.

The agreement was signed at the AMB's headquarters by the director general of Development Cooperation, Marta Macias, the AMB's vice-president, Jordi Portabella, and the executive vice-president of Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB), Dídac Pestaña.
