The process for drafting the Local Action Plan  Imagina Badia was presented to the citizens of Badia del Vallès on 28 April.

This process is part of the Sub<Urban network in the European Union's URBACT programme. This network, of which AMB is a member, is encouraging public participation in the transformation of cities to improve quality of life.

This Action Plan is a document that will identify the priorities among situations that require improvement, the strategy to be adopted, the parties that will have to be involved, and the specific initiatives that must be implemented by 2020.

From the beginning, the drafting of the local Action Plan has been driven by the Central Discussion Group, a group of residents, as well as people associated with public institutions and associations interested in contributing to the improvement of the city. AMB is also part of this group, and has offered technical support with the drafting of the document.

In order to involve as many people as possible, entertainment and open discussion activities will take place throughout the process to collect everyone's opinions and contributions.

The event on the 28th consisted of the presentation of the participatory project and an explanation of other participatory transformation experiences in cities. A workshop ‘Build the Badia of your dreams' was held that focused on creating the Badia of the future, as well as a specific workshop for children. A video Imagina Badia, created by residents, was also screened.
